Bryce
Today was the last day of chemo for this cycle! The chemo only lasted 10 minutes which seems like a cakewalk but is supposed to be pretty powerful. Potential complications include liver failure which could manifest if I turn the shade of a highlighter.
Four years ago I visited the eye doctor after several months of being without contacts. The doctor performed a full exam and dilated my eyes to get a better look at my blind spot in my right eye. Unbeknownst to me, either the chemical used to dilate eyes or some dye used was the same color as a highlighter. Later that evening I was checking myself out in the mirror and noticed the yellow shade around my eyes, a bright yellow shade. For three days I thought I had Jaundice and liver failure. It wasn’t until my coworker told me the optometrist uses a yellow dye during exams and thorough face scrubbing I realized my liver was okay. This time around I’m going to rigorously wash myself before consulting a nurse about Jaundice.
Past Three Days
The past three days have been good. I’ve felt better as each day passes and have spent a ton of time playing Settlers of Catan with Mary Beth, Anne, and Brandi; it’s pretty cool how we can be in different parts of the world and all play together while FaceTiming. In addition to winning at Catan, I’ve spent a lot of time catching up with family and friends friend on the phone and walking laps on the floor. Yestrday I discovered I was somehow classified as a “fall risk”, got mad, and walked two miles of laps to show whoever put this on my door that I don’t fall.
